Maha Periyava visited the Vinayagar temple in Ramasamy garden, Adyar many years ago. Then the swami was bitten by ants from an ant hill. Maha periyava was in deep thought as to why the ants were biting him but he left he place silently lost in thought. Then the temple fell into ruin.

The goddess wanted to rise at the ant hill temple where Maha periyava was bitten. A big temple was built in the same place. Sree Bala also took a place close to the goddess.

All the poojas that are supposed to be performed regularly are performed here with great devotion. Special pujas are held on every full moon day.

Devotees are gathering day by day who have experienced that she is very powerful and gives the gifts they ask for.

Sree Bala expressed her wish to his holiness Sree Bala Chaitanya Swaroop Swamiji in a dream that she wants to relocate from The Adyar Sree Bala Peedam to a suburb on the Chennai ECR Road
